For the past five years ARECHIPU, the Association of Residents of Playa Chiquita and Punta Uva, has managed a successful beach guard program, employing two full-time guards to patrol the beach and road areas. Their vigilance has helped to significantly reduce and prevent crime, improving the safety and peace of mind of residents and guests. 

On Sunday, November 29, the neighborhood is joining together in a day of music, art, food and community to support the continued success of the beach guard program.
